how to make a section?

Probably a dumb question, maybe im overlooking something, but...how to make the render for a section?

 

I mean, I need to make renders of a building, but showing the sections, not the elevations (facade)

 

If I already have the whole 3d model, how can I cut it?, Im looking something like the sketchup section plane.

Try the Slice mod.

If you are using normal camera instead of vray physical cam, then there's an option - clipping planes. U can set your section line to what ever length you want

Slice is great, but it would be even better if it had the option to cap the sliced parts.

There's a cap holes modifier which u need to add after applying slice mod

i have found cap holes to be a bit messy. depending on the complexity of the sliced area i have in the past simply created new plolys to fill the holes.

Also if your not animating it Photoshop can obviously be used to neaten things up in post.

The only time Ive found 'cap holes' to be not messy is after using a slice modifier. I think that must be what its designed for. Im surprised Max doesnt yet have a cap holes option in the slice modifier itself.
