Mental Ray Textures problem

I want to start using mental ray as my renderer for interior and exterior designs,But the textures in mental ray are confusing and when i tried to use it i don't get any good results:confused:. Can any one point to me good mental ray tutorials? it would really help me. Thanks in advance

For a full and detailed explination of the A&D shader read the PDF that ships with Max. There is alot of information there, and dont get too tied up in the actual numbers being used. Its the explinations behind the numbers that are the most important.

If your textures appear washed out and too light, check your gamma settings (Customize > Preferences > Gamma and lut) or specify a gamma for each bitmap when you import them. A gamma of 1.8-2.2 is usually about right.
