DARN ANNOYING "Communication Center" Popup...

How do you get rid of this 'Communication Center' popup that keeps appearing at random times (even when not conected to internet)?

 

I've tried right-clicking the icon at the bottom of the workspace and going into the Configuration Settings dialog. It lets me uncheck the 'Bubble Notification' box, then asks me to 'specify a country' before letting me close it out. But then when I go right back into it the 'Bubble Notification' is checked again and it's still telling me to 'Please Select Country'. For some reason it's not keeping my settings.

 

Does anyone else have this problem? How can this be shut off?

I had that problem with MAX8 and could never get rid of it. MAX9 and 2008 seem OK.

I remember having utilities for Windows with an interface controling all sorts of little annoying issues one of which were the bubble dialogs. Cant remember what it was though... Search the net for utilities. I bet youll find what you need.

I'm using Max2008. And actually, it's done this to me on Max9 too.

 

I'll look into those utilities though.

I kill "WSCommCntr1.exe" every morning in task manager. It works but what a pain.

 

There is a method to kill it forever in AutoCad that works (registry hack), but the same steps don't work with Max. Don't know why.
