plastic
i dont know free ones. www.realworldimagery.com have very good commercial ones. you may use the google image search to find people photos, but you have to extract the background manually. sgee
I don't know how legal this is but, if you go to some online clothing catalogues, you can get quite a few good photos of people. A client I had about a year ago, only wanted attractive and sexy women in the office interior render I did, so I did not know of any cd library's just with skantly cladd sexy women. With the time constrants and lack of sexy women of my own to take photo's of I went and used the pics of women on online clothing catalogues. As I said, I am not so sure if this is legal, so if anyone has any ideas on the legalities of this I would love to know?
Reitveld
IStock has some good images at a low price... but you will need to do the photoshop to create the alpha map. IStock
websmythe
Thanx guys. Much appreciated. The legal thing is always an issue for me. I prefer to play things straight up. Which is why I was asking 'bout free stuff.
kid
I go into to town and shoot people in the streets :angedead: :angedead: :angedead: :angedead: but most of the time I prefer to use slightly transparent silhouettes.
garethace
I always notice though, for some renders the people taken with strong summer sunshine bouncing down upon them and creating hard dark creases and shadows are a must. On the other hand, other renders require people who convincing look as if they are being lighted by some form of diffuse interior artificial lighting. It is really hard to get the right type of person, and the right type of person for the specific lighting condition in your scene. I never seem to have enough people, and to be honest i would beg, borrow or steal to find the right one.
