jophus14
I hate when this happens. There are a few solutions or work arounds. 1. Save render as a VRImg through Vray Frame Buffer and re-render. There are tons of threads regarding how to do this. 2. Zoom in on your image and copy the screen either by ScreenPrinto or a program called SnagIt. BrianKitts
always render to a .vrimg file for excessively oversized renderings with vray.
bijoy
Hi, hmmm...i used to have this problem but i solved following some tips by someone from some forum...haha (cant remember which one). Actually it was a life save cause i couldnt even render for an A3 size image (bout 3000x2250 res) basically when u render the default max render window comes up and also ure frame buffer. So...you will need to Hit F10 then 1 - under the renderer tab in the frame buffer untick the get resolution from max option. Set ure res to whatever you want (A0 for me its 5000x3350) 2 - in the common tab set the resolution to something like 20x15 under the out put size. 3 - render and save as targa then convert the targa file as jpeg in PS thats how i get a high res image out...it works for me. Hope this helps.

Claudio Branch
always render to a .vrimg file for excessively oversized renderings with vray. Does this work if you are using distributed rendering as well?
bijoy
Well im not sure, but its got something to do with memory management or something like that...i had a decent computer as well and still had that problem with memory. Because i was setting the resolution in that common rollout tab and then in the frame buffer, i set it to 'get resolution from max'. So i had two 5000x3350pix windows opening up...one from max and one from the frame buffer. Sometimes i would not use vray and just use the default scanline to render and even then it will still give some sort of error. Something with that god damn max render...haha(the solution for that was to merge the old file with a new one and render...sheesh). So after doing it the other way (for vray) i got the problem fixed. TomA
Could you not also render it in regions, e.g. 4 quarters then piece them together in Photoshop?
