TomA
I'm replacing my standard cameras with Vray cameras in a vray scene. I've never used them before. I've got 2 questions: 1. How do you set up clipping planes with them? 2. Why does the scene look much darker with the Vray cameras? Is it to do with exposure? Thanks P
BrianKitts
1. scroll down to the clipping planes option and turn them on. Note: clipping planes weren't available in earlier versions, so make sure you are updated to 1.5 2. yes
ramy
The default exposure settings on the V-ray camera are assuming that you haven't made changes to the intensity setting on your v-ray sun.
TomA
Thanks. In that case what should the intensity settings be on the Vray Sun?
Ricardo Eloy
VRaySun should be left default. The camera, on the other hand, needs to be set as a real camera, with f-stop, film ISO and shutter speed working as a real camera. Pretty hard to handle in the beginning, but very rewarding after some time.
bentegviz
i've been using the sunny-16 method via a post i found on here, that now i can't find again. basically, set ur f-stop to 16, iso to 100, shutter to 100-125. don't have to mess with the sun settings, other than instancing the vraysky which it explains. found it: http://www.cgarchitect.com/vb/28391-switching-sunny-16-technique-but-have-dark-sky.html
