dark renderings

hello guys

i've got one problem, always when i do renderings in computer it looks OK, but after prinring it's always dark, i use flat screens. I cann't gess where can i stop to increese the intensity. I think i can't see the real colors on screen.

could you give me some advice please?

look into monitor and print calibration.

 

this was the first line in my hardware request at my new job.... before I even discussed the computer.

Thank you Brian for so good information, I'm not so qualified in all this, could you one more time tell me something please? as i understand this is a hardware and it costs quit expencive, is there any other possibilities to print in same colors as it is on renderings.

for example I attached one rendering here, the floor is dark, but in pc it's ok, but after printing it's too too dark

nodar1978: I know what you mean about what you see on the screen compared to what prints out. I always have to brighten up my images in PS. Sometimes up to 70% brighter just for it to look right, but usually 40%-55%. We use several different printers here at my office and each is completely different. If you are using only one printer, I would focus on getting both your screen and printer calibrated to produce similar outcomes. Good luck.

I find the brighten in photoshop and it really good help me. but please guys let me know what do you meen under calibration of printer and monitor? do i need some expencive equipments or i can do it myself?
