alphaone
Hi, I am a newbie with Vray. I am using it in SU. I wanted to get the effect of the attached image. The material is glass. I know that inside it is painted white. The color is given by the outer layer. I´ve attached my settings so far. Thank you.

TomA
Have you got a 3d image/photograph of what you're after? It might make it easier for people to help.
jophus14
I'm not sure if this is possible in SKetchUp, but you can get that effect by applying a Gradient Ramp to your material. The glass seems solid therefore I would leave the refract at white or light grey.
alphaone
reading and trying... I think right now I am just surprised with the fact that it takes so much longer to render when I turn on the emissive material... I'll get back with my results soon. Thank you. landrvr1
You should check out 2 sided material as a solution. It's perfect for what you are trying to do. http://www.spot3d.com/vray/help/150SP1/examples_vray2sided.htm
