Billabong
Ive already posted this on the chaos forum but I thought I would try here to just incase it has happen to anyone else For some reason my clr threshold or my noise threshold will not let me change them to the desired setting. I am trying to put my clr threshold on .005 and my noise threshold to .01 but everytime i do that it goes right back to 0 after trying to mess it with it more, it seems the lowest my sample size in my light cache,Noise threshold and clr threshold and will go is .
Billabong
Fixed, here is the solution in case anyone else ever has the problem max preferences : general tab : decimal precisions. with 3 (or 4) digit precision you can specify your values in vray render panel. Ernest Burden III
max preferences : general tab : decimal precisions. with 3 (or 4) digit precision you can specify your values in vray render panel. Does that apply to all math in Max? Max, like C4D and many similar products are single-precision, which can cause data problems when you have a big scene with small detail. Most CAD programs, and some hybrids like FormZ and (I think) Rhino are double-precision math. With that, you can maintain extreme accuracy. Does Max go to a better accuracy than three or four places post-decimal if you set it up to do so?
