Notorious
Hi All, wondering if anyone can help. I've been creating an ocean surface in max with vray. I'm using a cellular map to drive the displacement which has created the effect I'm after. I'm quite happy with the still tests but now I want to animate it. Now I've reallised that the cellular map does not have an animatable 'Phase' value like the noise or smoke maps do....i'm a bit stuck. Is there a work around for this? Thanks for any help Rob
notamondayfan
you can aminate the gizmo, or anyother setting inside the cellular map. maybe you could try layering two cellular map into a mix map, and animating the mix amount, or make a more varied mix map? Notorious
Ok thanks, maybe the mix map will give me enough movement. I was gutted when I noticed that Cellular didnt have a phase value!....i'll let you know how I get on. Tah
