The initial subject matter of the group will be primarily Arch-vis focused, although we are hoping to reach out to other industries once things get going. ________Press Release___________ AAUGA - Boston Boston, MA, March 13th 2008 - Announcing the launch of the Autodesk Animation User Group for Greater Boston. This is an opportunity for the 3D Max users in the area to share advanced knowledge and user techniques. It is also an excellent opportunity for networking and getting to know fellow 3DS MAX users. All skill levels and industries are welcome. Whether you are a student, freelancer, or professional – your participation will enrich our user-oriented community. The general format will include presentations and open discussions. The first monthly meeting will be held on April 10th 2008 at 6:30pm at Neoscape. located at 330 Congress St. Floor 2, Boston, MA. The presentations will be “Finished Image Breakdown - Rendering through Post” presented by Victor Erthal and Maryellen Atkins, instructors at the Boston Architectural College and Neoscape 3d Artists. followed by “Particles for Arch Visualization - Waterfalls and Fountains” by Matt Richardson Neoscape 3d Artist and Nils Norgren, Founder and Vice President of Neoscape. Nils Norgren Posted April 9, 2008 Author Share Posted April 9, 2008 A quick note to remind you all that our 3D Max User Group is scheduled to meet tomorrow evening, Thursday 4/10, at Neoscape’s office on 330 Congress Street in Boston (adjacent to the Children’s Museum). Directions, parking information, and a meeting agenda are listed below. I. Directions To get here by public transportation, take the Red Line to South Station. Cross the Congress Street Bridge (open to foot traffic only) towards South Boston. To get here by car, From the North: Take I-93 South to the "Purchase Street" exit #23. Take a left at the first set of lights onto Seaport Blvd/Evelyn Moakley Bridge. At the next set of lights take a right onto Sleeper Street. At the end of Sleeper Street, take a left onto Congress Street. From the South: From I-93 North, take the South Station/I-90 exit #20. Follow signs towards I-90 East, and once in the tunnel take the first exit to "South Boston." At the end of the ramp, go straight onto East Service Road. At the next intersection take a left onto Seaport Boulevard. At the second set of lights take a left onto Sleeper Street. At the end of Sleeper Street, take a left onto Congress Street. From the East (Logan Airport and Route 1A): Take I-90 West Exit #25, “South Boston.” At end of ramp proceed straight onto B Street. At the next set of lights take a left onto Seaport Boulevard. At the third set of lights take a left onto Sleeper Street. At the end of Sleeper Street, take a left onto Congress Street. From the West: Take I-90 East towards Logan Airport. Once in the I-90 tunnel, take Exit 25, “South Boston.” At the top of the ramp bear left towards “Seaport Blvd.” At the first lights, proceed straight onto East Service Road and follow to the end. At the next set of lights, turn left onto Seaport Blvd. At the second set of lights, take a left onto Sleeper Street. Parking There are several inexpensive parking lots in the neighborhood; one of them is right across the street from our building. Parking garages are also located on Farnsworth Street and Stillings Street. On-street parking is difficult because residential restrictions go into effect at 7:00 p.m. If you park at a metered spot after 7pm, you will be ticketed and towed. Residential restrictions do not apply if you park in a metered spot on Seaport Boulevard. III. Building Access Please note that our building doors lock at 6:00 p.m. You will need to call Neoscape at 617.345.0330 to be let in to the building. We are on the second floor. IV.
