Dave Buckley
hi guys started to look at uses of post production, but was wondering which elements of the final render that you guys add in post??? so far the only things i have tried is increasing contrast in post (especially when using area lights) and also adding a sky in post. what else do you guys do in your arch viz/design viz renders? To do the sky, all i did was render out my scene without the physical sky and then save it as a .tga file i then deleted the inverted alpha channel in photoshop and placed my new sky on a different layer. is this correct methodology?? womble
I can heartily recoment the Gnomology tutorial 'Photoshop for Production' or something along those lines. You can purchase the 2 relevent sections 'Sky Replacement parts 1 & 2' for about $6 each and they're really good. They get a little bit boring as he shows a lot of his work in real time, for example masking round tree's, but I found them useful. If you're willing to spend a bit more you should just get the whole dvd because it's all quite good.
