Stephen Thomas
I have a scene which seems to have sneaked up to over 3 million polys which seems disproportionately high. All my trees, furniture etc. are proxies, and the objects I thought might be the main culprits are all fairly small. Is there a way to view the poly count of all objects at once to identify the problem rather than go through them one by one?
mattclinch
BlurScripts has a very useful script called "Big Brother", which can generate a list of all objects over a specified polycount. Suggest you use that.
Stephen Thomas
Found the problem, one of my vray proxies had 30,000 polys which was contributing to the count even though it was instanced throughout the scene. Changed to bounding box and the count dropped to 700,000! Also no script required, File>Summary Info was all I needed to see the poly count of individual objects in a list. Thanks anyway guys.
