Hi all indian friends

i want to know that the we are into field of architectural visualizations in from of stills and animations.

i want to know that whether we are liable to charge service tax from our clients if the annual income exceeds the prescribed amount i.e 8 lakhs for this year and 10 i think for the next financial year onwards.

my reference told me that computer visualizations business is not supposed to charge service tax.

I am confused

Dear Chow,

There no way you can avoid service tax if your client is Indian. You have to pay full amount S.T. for local projects. in case of Overseas projects, you will get that benefit - because you are not proving your service within country, so no question of service tax.

Thanks. ( Better to consult a good C.A.)

i discussed with y CA and he told me if we term our job as computer visualizations business then we can avoid it.i think our job is so unique that a CA cannot ubderstand the scope of work completely and when u insert the word architectural into it automatically becomes liable for service tax

i am confused and wanna be sure for this

Why arch viz would be so unique. It's like any services like car painting or banana producer!

Yes i am...and u are?

Kippu...the service tax is not applicable for foreign clients, as long as the job is out of India and the money comes in from outside India
