how to back up gmail emails

hi

 

an off topic

does anyone know how can i take a abckup of my emails in gmail

i use internet explorer / mozilla firefox

 

i tried using pop access in gmail for backing it up so that all my emails can be accesssed via outlook express but when i do all the settings right , it only shows me that 272 messages receiving though it shows me as 1800 emails in my internet explorer gmail account

 

how can i take total back up of these 1800 emails in my inbox

 

what can i do

i think u did not read my thread properly

there i have mentioned that i have already tried what u are trying to show me in the second link.the problem with that was iam not able to download all messages in my inbox

 

regarding G archiver i also got into that page but if u read that page they dont have anything for download as they are upgrading the software

Well, I don't use my GMail account heavily. Maybe the G Archiver is limited to the mail in your main inbox and not sub-folders? Maybe sending an e-mail to google and asking them?
