what is being used maximum by the people/studios for the landscape in still views??

is it 3D models or 2D images??

3D Model gives perfect blending of lighting in the scene..! rather then tweaking 2D images in PS( And yet not that accurate results..?!).. I think..

I see many studio's work in which it becomes difficult to judge the landscape whether it is 3D or 2D or hand sketch..but somehow it blends good with the scene...!!

So, which is the best way to get best results...??

And, which is the best 3D landscape package to invest in? Is it onyx trees..??

I've gone from using all 2D to all 3D and I'm much happier with the results now, mainly because I don't have to spend much time in post adding elements when I have a deadline. 3D objects just look better than 2D since you can never seem to get the lighting to match the 2D elements. The downside is longer render times but I think it's worth it. We use Onyx and Dosch libraries, RPC's are useless.

Thanx.."Demo38" & " Maxer"..

But what if client asks particular plant or tree...does onyx tree storm gives the entire range, from grass to trees...? Is it a complete landscape package??

Or how is it?

And Demo38, what is Dosch libraries??

Onyx has a large library of trees, bushes, and some flowers and it is the most complete package of different species of foliage I've ever seen. It also comes with a tree editor that will allow you to edit a tree or bush or you could even create your own from scratch. You will never find a package that will have everything in it, that's just imposable. When a client requests something specific and I don't have it or can't get it I just tell them to pick something else that I do have.
