Nice image thus far, but far from finished. The floor looks way too glossy and the image is super grainy. The height of your sofa cushions looks low. Same with the lounge\bed. Both are the same height as the coffee table. Compared to the wicker chairs that you have in the scene, both the sofa and lounge are small as far as how far off of the floor your butt would be. I'm not sure if this is a test render or just low resolution, but it looks that way. Keep posting and we will all help you out to get this image looking really nice.

Everthing looks like it piled into the middle of a rather large room. Give a bit of breathing space. Unless there is alot more to go into the room, behind the sofas.

A bit more colour wouldn't go amiss either

Watching this one, I like where its going.

Hey guys...thanx for the comments, as far as behind the sofa, that's going to be the foyer, as soon as I put a door there...and the rest of the room is divided up into the dining room and kitchen, so I really don't have any room to spread things out...I'll keep you posted....

What rendering solutions are these?

It seems one renders you a set of seats and the other one forgets about them ;) Best to have the views 100% similar - that goes for the bump map on the panneling aswell - one has a softer bump while the other is more noisy (the bump map is to high on both anyway). Im not too fond of the wood floor colour on the left - its too orange/yellowish. Looks a bit rotted :p

It seems in the first image you tried to use an artificial flash from the camera - seems so because of the specular on the hanging lamp and seating to the left. If so it should be set to a higher value definetally.

Generally one image is warmer (left) while the other has a cooler look (right).

They both need to be a lot brighter - while your setting your exposure to fit the interior it would be a LOT brighter.

Anyway its not about the rendering engine... :)

Id say image 2 but with image 1's soft sun shadows.

Both have some good points and some seroiuse errors.

It intersting to compare the lighting on the flower. Image 2 is more believable as is the glass vase.

However the OA in image 2 is over done around the furniture but not enough on the walls, so they are loosing the definition of image 1.

Image 1 light distribution is too even on the back walls, flattening the image out. The mid tones are too grey and dont have the vibrancy of image 2. However the organge tone of image 2 needs to be knocked back a touch.

I prefer the carpet in image 2 as it looks plush where as in image 1 it looks too mottled.

I agree with Horhe that is not entirly a fair comparison as with a bit more work they will both come out looking great. I think that you the comparison should be made at the end and include the ease/difficulty in the workflow of each in the final decision.
