Ruprect
Hi, long time listener first time caller, I am having a most irritating problem with all my geometry. When I import line work from CAd and create objects, they flicker in the viewport when I rotate. I have tried resetting my coordinates in CAD to be closer to the plan, no luck. Could it be my graphics card or a setting I am missing. This only seems to happen when I import CAD files. I have attached a pic showing the problem. Any help would be much appreciated. schmoron13
it looks like you have coplanar faces. Basically, you have multiple objects that are sharing the same points in space. Thus, Max doesn't know which one gets priority. Just move one of the objects causing this problem and it should solve your headache.
notamondayfan
or check the object properties, and tick "backface cull"....
Tommy Burns
Hi Adrian I have this problem too and I think it is a bug in 2008. In the file attached it only happens in pers. view. When I switch to user it's okay. I also import most of the time. I have seen posts before about this and no answers I just live with it. Maybe it will be fixed in 2009 or maybe it's just a Dublin thing:)
Ruprect
Thanks for the replies. Switching to user view does indeed stop this happening.
