a.bowden
Hi, I am a beguinner so sorry in advance. But I would like to know how to increase the segements on an object so that i can deform it. Usually you are able to under the oject properties, but for some reason i cannot get this option?
SandmanNinja
G'day mate and welcome! Once the object gets converted from a primitive (box, sphere, etc) to an editable mesh, poly, etc, you lose the ability to modify the number of segments. You can always select the edges and connect them, giving the same result.
chutti
Once the object gets converted from a primitive (box, sphere, etc) to an Editable poly, you can select the polygons on the polygon mode and cut them to increase segments to meet your needs. you can also use the Tessellate command to give the object more segments. so Editable poly is your friend here. SandmanNinja
Sounds like an echo in here.... No matter what you convert a primitive to, you lose that ability to modify the dimension and segments. Sure, edit poly is the way to go - I just didn't want him to think the above only applied to edit poly.
