sectional rendering request

would anyone be as so kind as to share a good example of a rendered building in section (perspective or 2D is fine) ?

i'm giving a lecture today on 3D tools in autocad and would like to show a good example of what can be accomplished when a model is cut or sliced into section.

i only want to give them examples - i won't publish any images or do anything with them without your consent.

much appreciated

thanks

theres a good reference image given in this post...

There's no credit given for who's it is, but I'm thinking it might be done by Brian Smith....or else he posted one that was similar. I half remember it from another thread where they were talking about section renders like you are talking about. He's on the forum all the time so you may be able to get ahold of him and ask if you can use the image for an example.

Today?

I did some big cut-aways early in my career--the first was of a Gothic cathedral. I can scan some prints, but not for this morning.

thanks guys - i know it was a bit of a last minute request. it only occurred to me just before the class that it would be nice to show some examples (i usually have enough personal work to use, but i've never done a section rendering myself).

thanks for the offer, but not worth the effort.

i thought more people would have had images they could have quickly shared...i did an 'exhaustive' five minute internet/forum search, but couldn't find much that impressed me.

i went to autodesk to find that promotional one they did of a stadium (or station?), but couldn't find a good clean one.

it all went well without the extra material.....i'll give you more notice next time !
