pajalmeida
Hi This is my last work i have done using 3d studio max with mental ray. I used the daylight system. Need some comments on how to improve it.
Justin Hunt
Looks good, with a couple of tweeks it could be better Composition first, mirror the guy in the foreground so that he is walking to the house, at the moment its confusing as to where he has come from. The tree on the right, scale it down so that you can see the house behind but not the grass. Lighting - desaturate the shadow colour by half. Try swinging the sun around to the left, it could cast some interesting shadows. Its only an idea though Nice work over all jhv
Horhe
Adding to what has been said: Well the image is too small to comment on the textures but I think the pavement is tiling. Also the garage door - the wood texture looks too big. I wouldnt neccesarily worry about the guy in the image as he is lit quite believably and fits in well. Nice work overall. sudark
i think your shadows are going in different directions. you should try to keep your light source constant. the tree, house, and the walking dude all look like they are lit from slightly differing angles all coming from the right towards the center behind the viewer were the shadows for the tree and walking dude done in PS? yorik
maybe also try a camera with a bigger focal distance? The car and the shadows seems a bit distorted... And when you have a very "cubic" building, sometimes the image looks more impressive with a more conventional camera...
katkatemos
It's nice, but you have to work on the shadows and the global illumination to make it more realistic, well, if that's your goal.

NgoJennifer
the thing I noticed was there is a shadow on the right side, but it isn't casting on the plants.. red leaves. Did you use Daylight? looks really nice
jreben
adding to others... 1-grass is flat 2-sky does not match lighting (if sun is that direction, most of visible clouds will be very bright. 3-remove guy in driveway or move, although lit well, is distracting, and it's just looking at the entire backside of some guy, not too inviting, IMO. Maybe make him walking away from the car? 4-small bushes on sloped hill/grass need variation (they look cloned) also might put them in a bed or some mulch at least... 5-It's hard to tell at that image resolution, but I think there may need to be some material attention, and some more detail added here and there. 6-Lighting and camera looks great, just perhaps back the car up a bit so it isn't chopped off or turn/widen view a tiny bit. Hope to see some updates! good job, so far, keep it up. Best regards, JR
