Devin Johnston
I want to add some youtube videos to an animation; problem is that the file format that I've been able to download isn't supported by Max. Does anyone know of a way to download a compatible format, or a program that can convert a .vlc file into a .mov or .avi?
Jeff Mottle
Go here and download them: http://www.idesktop.tv It's a new interface created by a third party to view YouTube videos and it has a feature to download them in several different formats. The new verison of RealPlayer also has a feature to download streaming videos from the internet as well.
mattclinch
I think there are firefox addons which also allow you to download them in different formats...
SandmanNinja
I use Firefox and have that plug-in - very useful. It depends on how the file is stored. I've downloaded some files and they are AVIs but the majority are FLV. Jeff's idea sounds good. I'm if you google FLV AVI CONVERTER you'll get a few options as well.
