yushi
Hi I'm using Autocad Architecture I have created my column grid and it's bubbles(names) in a file. Simply For different floors I xrefed this file. The problem is that the text inside bubbles which are attributes, are gone! I have to bind the file and explode it so I can see the attributes. How can I solve this problem? Regards
neko
could be a few things, but at 6:15am i'm going to start with the easy one....have you got the system variable for attribute display turned off ? ATTDISP=1 (on) ?
yushi
Yes i checked it. It is ON. actually when I bind the xref and explode it, the attributes appear!
neko
that's what made me think of that first - once you explode an attribute, it becomes text.....and you said you couldn't see it until it was text. does ADT (or whatever they want to call it now) use the concept of annotative scale ? i'm guessing that maybe you created the attributes with annotative scale 'on' despite the text style chosen ? it could be infinitely small until exploded to text. and can you see the attributes in the original grid drawing (before it is xref-ed) ? i suspect yes is the answer, which again makes me think it could be the text style/annotative scale in the assembly drawing. yushi
No you got me wrong! I don't explode Attribute. I explode the xref so it becomes attributes and after that i have all my attributes as they should be. All the grids and it's bubbles(which are the attributes) are in a file which i insert them in all my floor plans. The attributes are now shown till I bind the xref and explode it which becomes apparent.
bigroo
Was the text created on a layer that is frozen or off?
