Sketchrender
Just wondering if anything new is coming our way from them, soon. Since I can't access the Chaosgroup site as it is easier to get in to fort-nockes than get in to that site. make things difficult and people loose interest. So any news at all. The real time render is way over due, Fprime is out years? phil
BrianKitts
man I should try to get into fort knox then..... cause I've never had a problem with chaos... Next release date is April 20th, not sure if that includes the interactive render or not. V-Ray 1.5 SP2 with support for 3ds Max (Design) 2009 will be released on 20th April, or sooner if we manage it. If you need a version compatible with 3ds Max 2009 sooner than that, you can email me to vlado@chaosgroup.com Best regards, Vlado
amer abidi
exactly, no problem here either... I emailed them and got the new version for max 2009 within 12 hours! Unfortrunately i've been up to my neck with work and deadlines, plus i'm trying to make time for the AVC, so haven't really had time to explore and see what's new in the latest release. Ray
I think Vlado said something about a material converter for the new mental ray pro materials, but I don't remember if it will be in sp2 or not.

gfa2
Next release date is April 20th, not sure if that includes the interactive render or not. From what I understand the interactive renderer is a totally seperate product and sperate purchase so won't be in with SP2. I think Vlado said something about a material converter for the new mental ray pro materials, but I don't remember if it will be in sp2 or not. This won't be ready in time for the SP2 release. BrianKitts
just found this thread over on chao's site..... http://www.chaosgroup.com/forums/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=41556 interactive is definitely not in SP2, it's only in alpha, right now, it hasn't even made it to beta testing. And it will be a separate add on that you can purchase, not a part of the standard package...
