Camelpoo
Hi there. My first post here I need to recreate thishttp://www.trendir.com/archives/axolight-lamp-glitter-2.jpg If I get the renderer to do it would I aim a bunch of invisable spots at the chandelier and let the reflections/refractions make the pretties on the wall? Or do I fake it with a bunch of small invisable spots aimed at the walls away from the chandelier? Thanks! Marius.

Camelpoo
Vray. Can't remember the version.
jophus14
You could just put a PS created projection map on your light and aim it at the wall.
Camelpoo
Never done/thought of that. Thanks!
manta
Or turn on caustics in the render dialog...
Camelpoo
Thanks. Turning caustics on makes the render too expensive. This is what i have (low quality) with the mapped lights. I overcooked them a bit. Still need to figure what to do with the masks. I can;t take credit/blame for the design. I just make what the designer asks me to. http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk85/camelpoo_11/c2.jpg
