Jtrudeau
Hello everyone, I often find answers to my questions by looking though old posts from this site and though I'd give it a try myself. This website is a wealth of knowledge and I'm glad to have found it. Question: When I animate a camera by applying a path constraint it goes around corners too quickly. So to solve the problem I went into the curve editor but only found a green line that goes straight up with no bezier curves to smooth out the motion. I 've tried everything I can think of (which isn't much) with no luck. All the tutorials show the curve editor with bezier curves and I have no idea why mine is so flat. Thanks for any help. Jtrudeau
I think I may be being too vague. This little problem has put a stop to my project. If someone could tell me whats going on it would help me a lot. Attached is a screen shot to show you whats going on with the Curve editor. - Justin
RobNJ73
Unfortunately, using a Path Constraint means that the position of your object is controlled by it "percentage along path" value... something that I think has to take a linear "curve". At least, I haven't found a way to control the curve of that value. One workaround I came up with a while back was to uncheck "constant velocity" and space out the vetices in my path in such a way that I wound up getting the right kind of movement. Kind of a hacky, roundabout way of doing it, but it wound up working. The workaround I use now is to avoid path constraints and instead edit the trajectories. milfora
Hi, You could try changing the controller type from 'Linear float' fo 'Bezier Float' in the track view. Just right-click the Percent controller in the curve editor, select 'Assign Controller'
Jtrudeau
Thanks, I figured that out after a few hours of web scouring. It worked much better than using trajectories. Thanks
