Neil Woodhouse
Hi All, I recently had to download a model that i needed for a small project that i'm doing. I've loaded it into Max added a sky background and rendered it. When i look at the final image the sky is visible thru' the model. I've altered the rQMC setting in V-Ray to 0.001 but to no avail. I read recently on another forum that someone was having a similar problem but i can't remember what was advised. The model is a mesh. Any thoughts on this guys Regards Neil
Arnold Sher
i had this recently... possible reason is that you might have reflection on and it is causing an impression that it is see through.. my 2 cents worth
Neil Woodhouse
Thanks Arnold, Are you talking about settings in the mat editor or in V-Ray? I've attached a camera viewpoint image so that folks can see what i'm reffering to. The image is the starting point for an animation of a Roman Siege Engine for a schools project i am running. Dave Buchhofer
Check the material to see if there is a map set to screen on it check the object properties for a visibility track check the envieronment map , if it is just screened on, anything will reflect it as if it were just projected from the cameras point of view, either set the envieroment to cylindrical or place it on an object
