cetihcra
Hey all -- I'm a complete newb to 3DS/VIZ, but i'm learning. I do have two rather specific questions: 1. How can i achieve some sort of air density/particle effect from lights (Such as in http://static.flickr.com/92/245476507_d9ea1d0b8f.jpg) preferably using MR. 2. Is it possible to assign a small video clip as a material, such that it runs it's own animation while the scene is rendered? I guess it would be possible (but insanely time consuming) to alter the material in each frame, but is there an easier way? Thanks all r
Claudio Branch
The effect you're interested in is "Volume Light" and it is added within the lights' Atmosphere and Effects panel. Use the User Reference within the app to get acquainted with the range of settings for this effect. Using a video clip is no problem. Just go to the diffuse slot of a Standard Material and choose Bitmap. There you can pull down the File Type and use something like .avi or .ifl
