Archivis studios in LA?

I've been trying to search the net, and this forum, and am finding it quite challenging. Could anyone list any good archvis studios in the Los Angeles area or any arch firms that have in-house 3d in LA? Help is much appreciated, as I am trying to transfer from vfx to archvis with little knowledge about popular studios.

actually I was surprised there were any... wasn't chris nichol's the one who said most the people who do arch vis in LA try to get into the movie FX studios....

Yeah. He said that. So, does that mean there's less competition for Arch Viz studios in LA?

One of the results of what Chris noted, that most people doing CG Arch Vis in LA and California would prefer to work in the more sexy field of Entertainment, is that it's going to be difficult to run a studio out there, since most of the people you hire are either going to leave or want to leave your studio unless you also start doing Entertainment Visualization. On the East Coast it's different - plenty of people in larger Arch Vis studios would enjoy going to work in Entertainment, but you've got to uproot yourself and go West to do that.

 

That's been my personal theory as to why there are ten times as many arch vis studios between Boston and Miami as there are between Seattle and San Diego.
