thakkar Posted April 17, 2008 Share Posted April 17, 2008 Hi, I am quite new with cinema 4d, I Exported an ArchiCAD file to .ac4d format, Which turns up of file size of 400MB and When I tried to open it in C4D, It crashes the programme. I was exporting all little objects form ArchiCAD like shrubs and interiors and furniture etc.... All this objects were making it a huge file. Like, it makes it ten times smaller ... katkatemos Posted April 19, 2008 Share Posted April 19, 2008 Yes, it probably was the problem. When exporting archicad files to cinema 4d, I suggest you stick with just the building alone. Do all the detailing in cinema4d so that it would be lighter on your pc. And besides, cinema 4d offers more flexible tools for modeling than in archicad.
