3D software for building environmental simulation?

Hi everyone

 

I am interested in doing a MA by project in 3D computer animation, I currently used Autocad, 3D Max and V-ray to produce my animations and CGI's.

 

For my MA I have to proposed what I would like to learn, which is:

computer modelling software systems which are used for simulating and predicting the environmental performance of buildings.

 

But I don't know which software I should use, that are also compatible with the current softwares that I am using at the moment.

 

Anyone that can help me???????

I would check out Ecotect.http://squ1.com/products/ecotect It's a great program that lets you explore all types of energy and building environment information based on Bim or 3d cad models. It has a free trial that you can download. HTH
