SandmanNinja
RAM is dirt cheap right now - I just got a new computer with 8 gigs of Corsair brand chips. I personally went with a nVidia GeForce 8800GT with a gig of video memory. nVidia makes MaxTreme video drivers for (I believe) the Quatro model of their video cards, which claims up to 100% performance boost in 3DS Max. A big case with extra fans for pushing the air around. A big, quiet power supply with extra power (just in case), and it won't struggle to deliver what your computer requires. My next monitor is going to be a 22-inch Viewsonic LCD screen - the prices are right for it now. Viewsonic use to set the standard for monitors a few years ago - so even if they don't any more, they must be #2 or #3. hard drives - different schools of thought. they, too, are pretty darn cheap. I'd get at least a terabyte of HD storage. Or, split it up and get a nice, fast 250-gig HD for your boot drive and a 500 or 750 for your drive d. I went with two 500-gig HDs in a Raid-0 configuration with an external backup device. I back my My Documents up every day.

AJLynn
I saw some testing of the Ultima 90 vs other large heatsinks and it came very close to (e.g., within a couple degrees under load) the Ultra 120 Extreme. (The Ultima 90 is better than the Ultra 90.) It could be useful if you just want something smaller. I don't know the Elite 330 but the Ultra 120 is large enough that it can be difficult to install, and in my Lian-Li case with a slide out motherboard tray the 120 doesn't clear the opening so it needs to be installed with the tray in. What software are you going to use? If it's Revit the Radeon card is a good idea, if not look at Geforce cards - I think the 9600 can be found at a similar price point. Get DDR2 800 memory. If you have any extra budget get a better PSU and maybe a better case.
