Dave Buckley
i have a standard way of working with max, but i am not very technical, usually when i open it up i change all of the necessary settings that i like to work with, for example: render settings: PAL, 250 frames on the timeline, aspect ratio unit settings: millimeters is there anyway of setting all of this up so that it is stored as default without me having to change everything evertime i open it up coz to be quite frank, its getting a bit annoying and boring to say the least now
Stephen Thomas
Set everything up the way you want, this goes for toolbars, units, snaps, render settings, viewports etc. Then save this to My Documents/3dsmax/scenes to overwrite the file called "maxstart.max". This file and the settings within will now become your default.
