ABK
Hi everyone, I work as a visualiser for an interior designer (retail) so inevitably the majority of the renders we produce include clothing items. Up to now the quality we have produced has been sufficient but it would be nice to push it a bit further - it is the clothing that really lets down our images. If anybody has any smart ideas or links to good visuals that include clothing on racks I would be very interested. Cheers, Antony
Horhe
Not bad at all From what I see you use lowpoly clothes - basic low poly model with texture applied. Now its ok apart from the crease texture that seems to give it all away. And the noticable tiling visible from the side when youve got the clothes in rows. My 5 cents. Ps. In some cases not so visible now but I presume at much higher res the lowpoly would come out no doubt.
Victor Erthal
had to do something similar a while ago and the solution was to build a rough model of the clothes and use reactor or the cloth modifier to colide it with the hangers. I created a few diferent ones, mixed them, smoothed and assigned different ids. In the end i converted it all to vray proxies (the poly count was quite significant). johnswan53
Just wondering if anyone has tried to make normal bump map of a high res version of the clothing hanging on a hanger then appllied that to a low res model of the clothing. Having to do similar types of renderings - I myself am exploring a better way to represent hanging clothing.
