Noise
Hi I have animated one object (simple x,y,z stuff) but need to apply the same params to many other objects - what is the best way to do this ? Thanks N
alrawli
I had to do a similar thing a while ago and you can copy and paste animated parameters within the Dope sheet in max. Might be a bit time consuming but certainly quicker than animating each on their own.
Noise
Hi yeah, I have tried a few things and that seems to be the obvious way to go but, so many options. Where in Glasgow are you based ?

alrawli
Yeah its going well, been a huge project. Where are you working ?
RobNJ73
As an alternative to the Dope sheet copy/paste process, you can save out the animation from one object and apply it to another with the "Save Animation... " and "Load Animation... " dialogue in the File menu. It's a pretty straightforward dialogue... just select which animated tracks from the first object are going to match up with which animated tracks of the second object, and Max will copy the keys over.
