danb4026
I have an irradiance map and lighe cache file saved....settings were High. Originally the resolution was set at 200dpi for a 11x17 for output. Althought the IR and LC are saved and I am running "from file", the rendering is taking too long. Can I use these files if I change the resolution to 800x600 rather than the original size?

EricMLevy
You can change resolutions if just using the IR Map, but not if you're using LC as well. (As far as I understand it.) One thing I'm not sure of. You can calc an LC, save it, then calc the IR map, which 'bakes in' the LC information. Then you can turn off the LC to save memory (unless you're using it to speed up glossy calculations.) So then, can you change resolutions, and still have that saved LC information baked into the IR work correctly? I'm not a scientist...I don't know.
