nelpiper
:confused:Hi guys. I'm working on a scene where I must have lots of those chinese lamps hanging everywhere (those ones that translucency and look like candles). I'm trying to use vray 2sided material but it's not working. On the vray manual, they say that it should be better using it with one sided geometry. Mine is a beveled box (has some thickness to the edges and is extruded inwards). When I apply the vray 2sided material to it and a vray light, it doesn't work. However, when I apply other type of light (not vray), it works but than I can't get the vrayshadows. Does anyone have any idea how to make this work with vray lights? thanks. Woody
Try a shell modifyer on your beveled box. I've found that with transparent objects vray needs a thickness.
Nic H
dont try a shell mod. single sided geometry only. what do you mean the edges have a thickness and are extruded inwards? whats your 2 sided mat made up of? Its pretty simple to set up.
