mahorela
Hi all I love vray displacement but I always seem to have scintillation problems when using it in animations.....grass, rugs, basically anything displaced is a problem. Does anyone have a solution for this........do I need to up my settings somewhere to compensate for it. I am thinking it's probably an AA problem but if anyone can shed more light on this it would be much appreciated.
Justin Hunt
Hey Bob What are you using as a displacment map? if its a procedural noise then each frame will be different. Also is the displacment view dependant of world? these are gereral displacment issues, not vray specific jhv
Claudio Branch
I would LOVE to hear some explanations why V-Ray can tear through millions of polys, but slows down to a lifeless crawl when it comes to displacement...

mahorela
I'm using seamless maps.......for grass anyway.......I am testing at the moment so i will post any results.....perhaps I have to set my light cache to world. I suspect to get good results I will have to up my render settings ridiculously.
