jinsley
I am trying to load a model from revit into Max ( having same problem with Viz) and direct3d fails to initialize and the program(s) ask me to restart with the -h option... does this have to do with excessive geometry or has anyone had any similar issues? What is the -h option??? I am using intel quad core, with nvidia 8600 gt and 3 gigs of ram... Any help would be much appreciated! Thx.
mattclinch
right click the shortcut to MAX, and in the 'target field' add -h after the bracketed link. eg "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2008\3dsmax.exe" becomes "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2008\3dsmax.exe" -h apply, and then run the shortcut. jinsley
Thx Matt, much appreciated. What is the significance of the -h after the command line? Does it force direct 3d?
Horhe
It runs max with the max pop-up window that which in turn lets you choose between the 3 display modes. Edited May 14, 2008 by Horhe
