e_cbautista
hello people! i really appreciate that there is a site like yours- really helpful and informative. seeing the work of other artists and designers inspires and challenges me. but it seems i couldnt find any info regarding "partial" rendering a viewport, focusing only on an object from the whole scene. looked using yahoo and google but nothing hits what i seek- or maybe i just dont know what to ask? im using 3dsmax8, the "tool" looks like a rectangular marquee in PS, which appears when the render button is clicked. how do i enable/disable it? i think it is a 3dsmax feature, because it shows up even in scanline. dean@pikcells
top right if 3ds max there a drop down. its on "view" by default. you want to select "region" and use the rectangle to crop the render region. then click "ok" in the bottom right of your viewport to render.
