FORM3D
Hi folks. Got a bit of a problem… See the two attached images. One is rendered simply in Max9 with Vray (sp1). the other using the net render…. The one done in net render is much darker and the colures not the same?? Has any one any ideas why this might be?? Any advice is hugely appreciated. Matt. Crazy Homeless Guy
Arer you positive you have the same version of Vray installed on both machines? In older versions, the sky rendered to dark. They fixed it with newer versions.
FORM3D
HI there. Yep if I where using two different machines I would have deduced something similar but I’m only rendering on one machine when this problem arises. Same machine two different renders..? Doing tests in Max , then had planed to stack up a sequence of paths in backburner . im using max 9 sp2 and vray sp1 on a brand new vista machine. by the by .... i hate vista. Crazy Homeless Guy
Are you using a HDRI or anything to illuminate the scene? Perhaps it is not UNC mapping, and therefore is not being recognized properly?
RobNJ73
Maybe I'm missing something... but if you only have one machine on which to render, why are you using DR?
FORM3D
There are various reasons I would chose to render via BB rather than straight from Max. If you have limited hardware and say an animation Ir map and long sequence of frames to render then the best way is to que them up in back burner to render over night . Or if you where rendering a large still it is often advantageous to render strips. also i often find that a scene that would crash out max will render without problem if sent via backburner. (not this time however.) There you go three good reasons.,
RobNJ73
Good point, this... never thought of that, thanks... Or if you where rendering a large still it is often advantageous to render strips.
John Dollus
okay, here's another one - have you tried rendering it as a .bat file through command line? This will also bypass the memory overhead of the UI
