damienb
thanks Ky lane, but do you think that the lighting is correct ???
Ky Lane
Hmm... its a little contrasty... Id drop the intensite of the lights a little, and up your exposure. Or pop in some feature lights, like some halogens over the kitchen etc.
Geoffc
The picture out the window doesn't match the lighting. Check out actual interior photographs and see what happens to the view out the window during the day when the picture was exposed for the interior of the room. shaneis
The walls and ceiling seem too reflective. I can understand a wall being painted in a gloss/ satin finish, but not a ceiling. You might want to scale the couch down just a bit, then smooth and soften the couch and cushions too. Add a base to the lamp and blur the reflection on the LCD a bit. You should change your camera angle as well to avoid the wall/ door jamb on the left. Keep it going, the scene just needs refining.
Winkiel
The board under the TV or the picture (i don't know what is it) needs legs. And the leg under glass table is too big.
nelpiper
The image is too noisy (probably because the lack of lighting). Are you using a sun to iluminate the scene? If you use vray, set a vrayplane light the size of your window and inside the room (take not burn out curtains). You have to experiment with the intensity to get a nice balance between sun and artifical light (vrayplane). One very important thing is checking out how things work in the real world. Scale, perspective, light behaviour, refractions, reflections, etc. One basic example is that white surfaces absorb very few or no light while black surfaces absorb most of the light. With all these "ingredients", you can try to simulate something that is very realistic. Good luck.
