milfora
Hi, I am wondering if there is a modifier (or script) that works similar to a bevel modifier, but with varying horizontal and vertical offsets for each level? I can't seem to find one in Max I'm looking to create a lot of varing width/height items, and using a loft with varying cross sections is proving rather cumbersome. Thanks in advance AM
SandmanNinja
Have you tried http://www.scriptspot.com/ they have heaps. Failing that, not sure. I need to do my MaxScript tutorials one weekend...
milfora
Hi Joel, I've tried ScriptSpot, but I can't find what I'm after. I'm trying to teach myself Maxscript at the moment, but I think it might be a bit beyond my knowledge at the moment! Regards AM
Claudio Branch
I'm looking to create a lot of varing width/height items, and using a loft with varying cross sections is proving rather cumbersome. Hey Andrew, have you tried using Surface modeling? I have found it somewhat more predictable than Lofting... ...perhaps you could post up some images of the items in question. milfora
Hi Claudio, I'm looking for something similar to a sweep/bevel modifier (ie something parametric if possible) that will allow not only sweep a shape along a path, but allow for end tapering. Some example could be - End tapering of bridge parapets, wire rope safety barrier transitions. It could even be used to create simple roadways with superelevation developments. (This can be achied with lofting, although it is a long-winded procedure) Regards AM
