Inxa
Hello, Here's another go at Exteriors. I got the model from a ever library which a friend shared with me. This is used only for studies. Lighting is basic - Environment with blue light and one direct light for sun light. Color mapping - Reinhard. I am still trying with displacement for grass. Thanks a lot to Kippu for all the help. What do you think guys, how does it look. How can I better it.
dave013
Firstly you should bump up the AA settings and use a much finer displacement for the grass. Some more objects or a plane with a texture behind the camera so there is more in the window reflections.Looks Good so far. Keep working on it. Orchid_Andy
I like the plants surrounding the building:)
Neil_cg
Darken the white on those walls - true white doesnt exist, it's usually at around 235 all round (out of the 255 rgb scale)
Inxa
Hello, Sorry I forgot to mention it was a test with low-setting and AA not on. I have now placed a plane behind the camera for the reflections as well. The vraydisplacement is eating my head out Updates soon. Thanks Dave, Orchid and Neil. Inxa
Here's a update. I did some lights on the wall and a table, couch and couple of chairs. Also, followed dave's suggestion, and applied a cityscape on a plane and placed it behind the camera. VrayDisplacement is not on. Again low-renderings settings. AA is not on. nelpiper
Working with grass is quite tricky. Be carefull with the tiling. You can see the paterns. Also, it's not displaced enough now. The rest looks good to me. Refine it. Good luck.
Deadponny
Hey... i think that the 1st grass was better.... i'd just place some floor around the pool...

alfienoakes
Its way too bright still.. Almost blown out. The glass looks good now, but without displacement, the grass is now obviously tiling.. Without that and the AA not being on.. its sort of really is a WIP image... Render a better quality one with Disp' and AA on, then we can see how it really looks. mayamax
I have Some Problems in this image.. 1) I think The Shrubs Below The Window .. 2) The grass Map...its Tiling... 3) No displacement To grass 4) Swimming pool water ..looks to flat.. 5) walls are looking over bright 6) the colour of water ..i think its must be a slightly more green tinch.. I hope This Will Help You..
jinsley
Getting better, I find the shadows to be a little sharp... softening them up a bit would help alot.
RodT
I would reccomend an apron around the pool. The water would be a mess with all the debris that would be tracked into the pool. Others have pointed out my other concerns
