Arnold Grove
Can you make an object show a reflection in a glass object, in my case a window...but not be visable to the camera? I want to apply a light material to a disc object but only be seen as a reflection in glass? Im trying to get a reflection light of a warehouse light to relflect the way in a photo Im using as reference. I wish you could make a round disc shape w/ a vray light. also...Im still having problem...i have a double pane window (12" space in between} between a small room and large room...i cant for the life of me get light to pass through my glass...every thing is checked except render occluded objects on the object properties render option...the glass is reflecting everything and acting like a mirror instead of acting like glass..reflec is about 20% thanks AG Edited May 30, 2008 by Arnold Grove
Trevor Tizard
Right-click, object properties, de-select visible to camera. As for your glass can you post the mat settings.
YOHKOH
For the glass Make sure affect alpha is on in material properties. Check you are not using an overide reflection. It's probably the tickness of the glass material, I try to make mine at least 15mm thick. and make sure your glass colour is not pure white Might also be an issue with intersecting geometry. Also try merge your model into a new scene
