RyanSpaulding
Hey guys, I'm looking at experimenting with getting a nice, soft, NPR look out of VRay and am not always a fan of how the VRayToon inherently looks. Is there a way to get JUST the lines? No shading....just a render of linework over white. I want to create a multiply layer for Photoshop.
mayamax
yes its can be possible....and its also quite easy..if you want to know more about vray toon...please visite this site...i hope is will help you.. http://www.spot3d.com
BrianKitts
pretty easy...put a white vraylightmtl into the material override slot in your global switches turn off GI, and turn on the vraytoon in your atmospheres rollout and render.
RyanSpaulding
I've tried all that...there's no info on how to get just lines. The site gives you a good amount of parameters....but what I'm after is more of a 'hidden line' render. No matter what, it's using the shading and lighting from the vray file. Antisthenes
i would say use Brazil or FryRender or Penguin eval 2 (for vector output) or 1 for an array of many toon watercolor etc styles w/o the stripping that v2 does not put on its raster outputs. Excellent. This worked. It looked like I said I'd "tried all that" and it included your comment but we must've just posted at the same time. I had to crank the multiplier to like 35 to get pure white but it worked. Now, to crank up the AA. Thanks all who responded.
