SSPEIPER
Just a query on what direction to take... I am currently working with an antequated Rhino 3.0 and Flamingo Rendering plugin. Should I be looking to convert to 3ds Max or stay with what I know and what im confrotable with - and upgrade to Rhino 4.0 which has the Vray plugin now...!!! ??? Also I am wanting to upgrade to more realistic vegetation in Architectural renders - and wanted to know if Xfrog is comaptible with Rhino? I have checked and it does have file formats that Rhino uses and can open such as 3ds and Obj, lwo etc... but is it a simple task of applying the textures? Any advice or recommendations you could give would be much appreciated...

Antisthenes
i do and i love it, max would be a extra step in the process, too much mesh based editing, expensive, bloaty, and a submission to autodesk. all things i am not in the position to compromise on. there are a few things i would like more like the ability to automatically convert MAT to VISMAT, more users like you to tip and trick/brainstorm with yes i have used Xfrog trees RPC trees (thru viewport mostly) and flamingo procedural trees i say definatly upgrade to v4 it is very major in that it contains most all the ability of Autocad Illustrator and Indesign now for 2d cadding, illustration and pagelayout not just rendering (vray, flamingo, treefrog, fryrender, maxwell, brazil2, renderman air, penguin2(with vector output)) and animation (bongo)
