river
Hi im just wondering if there are any simple programs available where i can upload dwg files and create interior and exterior renders. I am a developer in Costa Rica and dont have time to wait for renders, everyone in Costa Rica works at a snails pace. Any help will be greatly appreciated. vizwhiz
There are no simple programs That i know of That will automatically Turn 2d plans into finished renderings however, There are probably about 10,000 poeple here at This website (if They are not already Too busy with cg work) who would be willing To help you maybe post a sample image of a floor plan or better yet POST a job offering in CGarchitect's job board look at The Top menu bar (its somewhere) someone surely will help you out with This randy

As for the response by Andrew .."CREATE" by definition, does not mean "make render button"! So if i can re-phrase, is there software i can buy to "CREATE" interior and exterior renders from DWG files. Hopefully a relatively easy program. AJLynn
That was a joke. What we mean is that there's no automated procedure for making renders from 2d drawings; what you need to do is get an artist to do your renders.

johnvid
Pushing Buttons. If your looking to be busy tonight, you might try fanning the flames, or putting them out...perhaps you dont realise how your question could be interpreted, its a wide open cue for many jokes.. For example "I didn't realise Costa Rica was in Canada." You can learn a lot in one night on this website, but probably couldn't achieve what you want to do in one night. There are lots of options for 3D Design, from the Simple & Inexpensive 3d floor plan software, 'Google Sketchup' (not sure if it imports dwg, but you can get vray for it) to more expensive options. As you know none of them have the magic render button yet, and you could expect that when they do they will be expensive, but the joke is You might need to push many buttons before you achive anything. you could convert the dwg in illustrator(i think) If you have a larger budget why not take a look at this Parametric Building software http://www.procedural.com/cityengine.html http://www.paoloemilioselva.it/citygenerator.html for XSI Though perhaps a little overkill for one room (thanks to the vray forum I found out about this today)
