mesht
i have similar configuratios as yours except for the Bootcamp version and RAM and i too experienced similar installations problems when i tried installing by the "download" method. It simply doesn't run. so i ordered for the trial cd instead, hoping an actual cd might install and finally it did. what i can conclude is to install an OS, you need the cd itself, not from a zip or download type. so far, xp64 runs fine, except one of my drivers which could not be found on the net, graphic driver can be easily downloaded from the web. btw, i also had xp32 installed, together with my OSX but my xp64 on another hdd. blowback
mesht, I think that is the problem. Once I received the disk everything worked fine. Installed / working great. I collected the drivers off the net. The only one I could not find is the driver for the mac keyboard. That is still not working properly. But everything else is all systems go
