pradipta
Hi, for my recent project i need to work on a 3d flower slowly coming out of its bud phase and opening the petals one by one... is there any software that can do this job more precisly or I have to do it using 3dsmax or maya in traditional way? I heard xFrog can animate trees through its various stages, does it also animate flower or such animation? Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks
signet
for the level of control your going to want to properly have art direction over the animation. your going to have to key frame it. I am pretty sure Xfrog and Onyx wont "cut it" It shouldnt be to hard with proper referenace Try looking at timelapse footage from the bbcmotiongallery.com http://www.bbcmotiongallery.com/Customer/SearchResults.aspx?searchText=flower+timelapse&type=Simple
marksee
You could probably use a morper modifier if you are using 3ds max. Model the flower open as well as closed and morph the closed into the open?
RobNJ73
Or an animated Bend modifier on each petal...
